AI as Rehearsal vs Replacement for Relationship

There's more at stake than you think.

We need to design AI chatbots as a rehearsal for relationship, not a replacement.

Here's the difference:

3. By helping practice critical thinking, self-trust, and the capacity for friction in relationships
4. Grand scheme -> this leads us back into the arms of each other

1. AI as a source of advice
2. Leads to dependence and isolation
3. By eroding agency, decision-making, and relational skills
4. Grand scheme -> this exacerbates loneliness
