Behavioral Science - Key to AI Adoption

Behavioral science is the key to successful AI adoption in companies. 

If you have an AI initiative line item in your budget, ROI will only materialize if you have a corresponding line item for supporting the humans adopting it.

Relegating AI to (only) the IT department fundamentally misunderstands what is happening right now (even though we are always grateful for our IT dept!).

When GenAI is being deployed, organizations are more likely to succeed when equipping staff with an evolving understanding of:

- benefits and limitations
- responsible and ethical engagement
- cultural competence and bias
- potential harms
- risk of critical thinking and relational deskilling over time

Bottom line: AI adoption is deeply human, and must remain human-centered.

This is why I believe we need behavioral experts in the room for AI conversations.
