How Can AI Lead Us Back Into The Arms of Each Other?
Nov 19, 2025I have a difficult conversation on the horizon.
Maybe you do too.
Perhaps practicing the conversation may ease apprehension or potentially increase the likelihood of mutual success.
There are two ways (definitely more than two ways, but I condense for space) you could approach this if you use AI.
𝗢𝗻𝗲.
Tell the chatbot everything wrong about the other person. The chatbot will likely not only agree with your offense but also substantiate it by offering further evidence of just how right you are.
OR
𝗧𝘄𝗼.
Tell the chatbot this: "I'm prepping for a difficult and potentially intense conversation with [a friend, colleague, family member]. I'd like you to roleplay the conversation with me and offer feedback on these things:
𝘍𝘪𝘳𝘴𝘵, ask me questions until I'm able to articulate my position without undue blame.
𝘚𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘥, ask me questions to reveal any blind spots I have.
𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘳𝘥, guide me in practicing listening skills that will make the other person feel truly heard."
Option one is a 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 for relationship.
Option two is a 𝗿𝗲𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀𝗮𝗹 for relationship.
The first exacerbates loneliness on a societal level.
The second leads us back into the arms of each other.
