Singing in the Park

Two women. One guitar. Golden Gate Park and a yet-to-be-written song.

Dropping into flow state with Tess Gilman Posner and engaging in our shared craft together was enjoyable beyond words. 

There's something about the creative spark that ignites in unique ways when endeavored alongside others. 

We brought a blanket, a guitar, and the words that had been stirring inside us lately. The gut-wrenching pace of technology, the ache for deeper human connection, the tension that forever remains in that chasm. 

And what we left with after a 3-hour writing session was a melodic expression of the inner turmoil tucked inside a beautiful song.

This experience was the perfect on-ramp to Workday's Human Algorithm Summit both Tess and I are speaking at this week. Now, more than ever, it is connection with each other that will carry us through. 

Whatever your creative craft is...writing, running, baking, painting...you know the deep satisfaction of putting in the labor to produce an outcome that often feels other-worldly. Keep doing the thing that makes you feel alive!
